1. RENTAL REQUIREMENTS

The minimum age to rent a motorcycle is 18 years.

Riders aged 18 to 22 are subject to an additional Young Rider Fee, which varies depending on the motorcycle category and is displayed during the booking process.

All riders must hold a valid driving licence appropriate for the motorcycle they intend to rent.

Accepted driving licence categories include:

– Category B: Motorcycles up to 125cc, subject to a minimum of 3 years of driving experience and applicable Spanish regulations.
– Category A1: Motorcycles up to 125cc, within the legal power limits.
– Category A2: Motorcycles permitted under A2 licence restrictions.
– Category A: Motorcycles of all engine capacities, subject to applicable licensing requirements.

Category B eligibility for 125cc motorcycles applies only where legally recognised in Spain. Riders holding foreign licences must meet the applicable recognition and licensing requirements.

All riders must present a valid driving licence and passport or national identity document before collecting the motorcycle.

International riders may be required to present an International Driving Permit.

RIDECORE reserves the right to refuse rental if the rider does not meet the legal requirements.

2. BOOKING AND PAYMENT

Reservations can be made through the RIDECORE website or directly with the company.

The total rental price, including applicable taxes and additional services, is displayed before booking confirmation.

The rental period begins and ends at the dates and times specified in the booking confirmation.

Any extension must be requested and approved by RIDECORE in advance.

A grace period of 30 minutes applies to late returns.

Returns delayed by one hour or more may result in an additional rental day being charged.

Early returns do not automatically qualify for refunds.

Cancellation Policy

Unless otherwise specified during booking:

– 7 days or more before pickup: 100% refund.
– Between 7 days and 48 hours before pickup: 50% refund.
– Less than 48 hours before pickup: Non-refundable.
– No-show: Non-refundable.

If RIDECORE cannot provide the reserved motorcycle, the customer will be offered an equivalent or superior motorcycle at no additional cost, subject to availability, or a refund.

These conditions do not affect mandatory consumer rights under Spanish law.

3. SECURITY DEPOSIT

A refundable security deposit is required for every motorcycle rental.

The deposit amount varies depending on the motorcycle model and category.

The exact deposit amount is displayed on the motorcycle’s booking page and confirmed before payment.

The deposit is normally secured through a credit card pre-authorisation.

After the motorcycle is returned and inspected, RIDECORE will request the release of the deposit if no outstanding charges or damages are identified.

The time required for the funds to become available depends on the customer’s bank.

Important: The security deposit does not represent the maximum financial liability of the renter.

If the cost of damages, theft or other losses exceeds the deposit, the renter may be responsible for the additional amount in accordance with the rental agreement.

4. INSURANCE COVERAGE

All RIDECORE motorcycles include mandatory third-party liability insurance in accordance with Spanish law.

The insurance covers third-party liability only.

The following are not covered by the motorcycle’s insurance:

– Theft or attempted theft.
– Vandalism.
– Fire damage to the rented motorcycle.

Normal wear and tear, previously documented damage and mechanical failures not caused by the renter are excluded from this responsibility.

RIDECORE does not offer additional damage protection plans under these rental conditions.

5. MILEAGE POLICY

Mileage limits vary depending on the motorcycle model and category.

The included mileage allowance is displayed on each motorcycle’s booking page and specified in the rental agreement.

Additional kilometres exceeding the agreed allowance are charged at the applicable rate.

The standard additional mileage rate is €0.25 per kilometre, including VAT, unless another rate is specified in the booking conditions.

Customers are responsible for any additional mileage charges incurred during the rental period.

The renter may be responsible for repair and recovery costs in accordance with the rental agreement.

11. THEFT AND LOSS

In the event of theft, attempted theft or disappearance, the renter must immediately notify RIDECORE and report the incident to the police.

The renter must provide:

– An official police report.
– All available motorcycle keys.
– Any relevant documentation.
– Information necessary to investigate the incident.

The renter is responsible for taking reasonable precautions to protect the motorcycle throughout the rental period.

This includes locking the steering, removing the keys and using provided security devices.

In accordance with the rental agreement, the renter may be financially responsible for theft or loss, including the motorcycle’s reasonable market or replacement value.

The security deposit does not limit this responsibility.

12. BREAKDOWNS AND ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE

If the motorcycle experiences a mechanical problem, the renter must stop in a safe location and contact RIDECORE.

The renter must not arrange repairs or transportation without prior authorisation, except where necessary to prevent immediate danger.

If the breakdown results from mechanical failure not attributable to the renter, RIDECORE will arrange assistance.

If the motorcycle cannot be repaired within a reasonable period, RIDECORE will attempt to provide a replacement motorcycle or an appropriate refund for unused rental time.

If the breakdown results from misuse, negligence, an accident or incorrect refuelling, the renter may be responsible for associated costs.

13. FINES AND TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS

The renter is responsible for traffic violations committed during the rental period.

This includes:

– Speeding fines.
– Parking violations.
– Traffic offences.

Unauthorised drivers are strictly prohibited.
